I think that just depends on you. If you're that type of person, then yeah you'll say good things about the product. This is my second year being VIP.  Last year I've openly told people my negative opinion about the blade durability of the Alpha QX. Loved the stick a lot, but the blade cracks very quickly.  Used the QR Edge for the first time yesterday and I love it so far. It was basically a stick and puck session, so I'll see how it is in a game situation before I really start talking about it.

Were any VIPs able to get a LH 65 flex senior W28? Tried to get one today but it didn’t come up as an option on the stick selection menu, only W03.

I wanted a 70 in W28 it wasn’t available so I had to pick 75.

They picked 8 guys to be "elite" VIPs this year.  I was lucky enough to be one. We got custom sticks.  Every curve they've ever had was available to us, as well as flex down to 55 I believe. We also got to pick grip texture and name plate.  Couldn't change the colors of the stick, or change the blade in any way.  I've had my stick for about 2 weeks now.

Posted a lot of videos of actually playing hockey during last year's program. They wanted to separate some people who make on ice (or training) footage with just the photoshop people. That's what they told us, anyway. We got the custom stick, will be getting a pair of gloves and then some shirts and hats and stuff.  The trade off is we have to keep making videos for them.

This isn't entirely true. They gave them to the hosts of Beer League Talk so we would talk about the stick on our show. We did feel obliged to do that but we were honest. We said some pretty bad things about the QRL. One of us broke 2 of them in the less than a month. We said the stick wasn't great and we wouldn't spend $300 on it. They then sent us the Alpha and for me I loved it so I gave my honest thoughts about it. We were also chosen for this season but have yet to get the sticks.

Maybe individuals feel obliged to say nice things about it so they continue to get picked but we don't. We feel we have a responsibility to our listeners to be objective and honest. We are upfront that we got the sticks for free and are honest in our review. If we don't like the free stuff we say it.

As for getting picked I can't tell you a fool proof way to get picked. It seems like they pick people who are ultra active on social media so they ensure that their product will be talked about.

I still think they're factory seconds. Wether the paint/graphic is not 100% perfect or possibly wrong flex printed on stick. I've was apart of the VIP for a while and they never seemed correct.

Also, seem a very fishy that every week after the VIP release they "Find" more sticks available. Seems to me more rejects were found.

This is true. This is my 4th VIP stick and 4th stick that has cosmetic issues. Last year it was the grip coating being warped. This year it’s the coating on the blade. It’s not a structure issue that will change its performance.

that guys a plug anyways, if you watch him play in his videos he's bruts. Nothing wrong with being bad but if you're gonna be the guy who's supposed to try to show the world and teach them about hockey at least be somewhat decent. Coach Jeremy is way more interesting if anything.
