Habs and Coyotes made a trade last night.

As a Habs fan, i thought Galchenyuk had a lot of potential, but seemed to maybe not have the best attitude.

Domi was great in the juniors, but what about the NHL?

I think this is one of those deals that can work out great for both teams....It seemed clear that Alex's time in Montreal was done...He wasn't happy and the team wasn't happy. If he stays on the wing in Arizona I have doubt he will do well.

 

Domi will get a fresh start in Montreal and is a type of player Julien can do more with than Alex...We shall see first of many monves for the HABS I would assume...

When I saw a link to an article on FB I thought it was a fake story. Galchenyuk for Domi and picks or prospects or at least unloading a bad contract like Karl Alzner would've been palatable, but 1 for 1? That's a bad deal. Domi will likely hover around 50 points a season and Galchenyuk should be a consistent 30 plus goal player who can potentially put up 70 plus points if used correctly. 

 

Subban, Galchenyuk and Eller were 3 of my favourite players on the Habs this decade and now they're all gone. I think that's what makes this sting more; it's the series of bad deals and signings Bergevin has made. If he takes anyone except Zadina or Svechnikov at the draft I don't think I'll be able to stomach watching another game until the guy is fired. He values character exponentially over creativity and skill; so Brady Tkachuk being picked would disappoint, but not surprise me at all.

i quite enjoy reading the montreal canadiens media accounts. Fans are imploding even more. 

 

Domi is a pretty good player and played on a worse team so they shouldn't be so quick to write him off.
