I've seen 2 or 3 pair of Adidas socks pop up on eBay over the last season and heard a few people saying the socks had velcro and that they were a different material than Reebok/CCM versions. I was able to pick up a couple pair of kevlar backed Adidas socks today and compared them to the Reebok/CCM ones I own. Since I hadn't seen another post comparing socks I figured I'd share.

They're the exact same.

The mesh on the upper part of the thigh is the only difference with Adidas mesh having slightly larger holes. None of the socks I picked up have velcro tabs or patches. The only thing that stood out as surprising is how much the Adidas tag wrinkles in the wash compared to Reebok/CCM.

Great comparison.

Do they have Kevlar inside?

Thank you. Yes, both socks I used for this comparison have kevlar on the backside of the calf

Noticed that after I took the photos, but I've also noticed slight size variances in my Reebok/CCM socks as well. Could be from the number of washes, different batches, or simply how I laid them out. The sizes aren't perfect. For example the newer 3.0 version of the Reebok sock appears longest, while the 2.0 and 1.0 versions of the socks appear close to the same size:

It's Dyneema, not Kevlar.

Is that the same for both socks? I just knew they had extra white material on the back of the calf that was cut resistant. Thought it was Kevlar.

Here are the inside of both socks for comparison

That's funny, I was gonna do a similar post since I have Ducks socks from 2016 Reebok, 2017 where they had half Reebok half Adidas on there, then the Adidas ones from 2018. I've also noticed that the adidas socks have a thicker ankle instead of the mesh on the older Reebok socks. Let me try to figure out the picture upload process and I'll get the comparison posted up

Yeah, I have some pairs that have more of a mesh ankle too and others that have thicker fabric like the rest of the sock. The minor differences in socks is pretty crazy.
