Is that the cyan Ax Suede on the Edler HSX's?

It's sueded deer skin dyed cobalt blue. I provided the material for the palms. Really happy with how those came out

I'm a sucker for red palms and Joe helped make these into the gloves I was after. Improved the overlay compared to stock STX gloves, and the quality looks like it came from the factory. I know the looks of the Halo gloves aren't for everyone, and while they'll never be my primary glove, they are super lightweight and unbelievably comfortable.

I wear the STX RZR for lacrosse and they are extremely comfortable and lightweight. I tried the Halo in 13" for roller hockey, but the fingers were too long and the gaps between the fingers were too tight, which annoyingly left a few cm between the tips of my fingers and the mesh gussets. Do you feel like yours had this problem as well or is it just my stubby fingers? Did the repalm alter the fit of the gloves at all?

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.

I wore 14’s and they felt fine but I agree the fingers were just the tiniest bit too long. Ended up trying 13’s and they fit much better; borderline too small, but more than usable. I do dislike STX’s palms and I’m not sure why they make them the way they do. They look like they have a double overlay, but it’s just two pieces sewn to make up a single layer and the stitching rubs my palms in a strange way in addition to being *very* snug between the thumb/index finger. The RX3 and Halo have the same style palm and both felt the same. I requested Joe make a single layer palm with a true overlay like every other glove I’ve ever used. They feel much better in the areas that were tighter before and am optimistic they’ll loosen up a bit more after a few games

Follow up post:

So I got a chance to take a closer look at the work and what I can say is I'm very happy with everything and Joe went above and beyond to get everything to my specs. The materials are top notch and the work is excellent.

That said, the are definitely some flaws that I found and for some guys here it would be a deal breaker. I had cuff work done and the length of every cuff is different, sometimes on the under cuff, sometimes also the cuff doesn't line up with the cuff roll and is cut lower or sticks up a drop. On one glove (blue HSX) the gussets we're sewn in horribly and the palm is warped and pulls one way around the fingers. Its a real issue as it leaves one finger unprotected, since the palm and gussets pull the padding off of the top of the finger. It's not factory work and for the price is very disappointing. I would have much preferred to be told that he can't be bothered to do it then to do a half-ass job, as I would much prefer the original cuffs to the hack job I received.

Attached are some closer photos, the Canucks Epros undercuff is pretty rough, and the TBL SE6 are uneven, the Sharks SE6 are uneven under the cuff roll (left is flush, right is about 1cm lower than the roll).

And before you ask, yes, the Cheerios are pro stock

I’m sorry but that’s just pure laziness and a severe lack of attention to detail. Especially in that first pic- how hard is it to try to chop the same spot on the Easton logo? Way off.

And they charge the same price as CPR (even more in USD). If they are good to simply repalm ok, but for mods I have to agree with KidCoyote. I think with the amount of gloves that we all have, personally, I can wait for CPR.

Joe is retiring. I can definitely see CPR having better quality but not willing to wait that long for glove services. Kind of bummed as I don't see a clear alternative

I felt like this until the last time I sent Joe gloves for cuff mods and they came back completely uneven. Lesson learned, I only send to Pat now, doesn't matter how long it takes.

He said no to my latest pair and then posted it on his IG/Site. Not the best and sorry you had cuff issues but as far as repalming he always did me solid. Guess I'll be sending any grails I find to CPR for the queque

I have always thought of Joe as a great repalm option..

If you are looking for custom work CPR is still the safe pick if you can wait or get in..

Yup, definitely the best option for a repalm, but I found that anything more was not ideal, even gussets were hit or miss. Anyway, hope he enjoys retirement, working on gear is definitely not easy
