Hey guys,

I normally dislike these kind-of threads, so apologies but I was wondering if someone could help me out?

I'm interested in picking up a Marner prostock True. The pics I've seen make it look p92 but with a straighter heel, so the curve starts more towards the middle of the blade instead of the heel. It could just be the angle though because the store said its a p92 copy......

Has anyone had experience with the curve or could do a side by side pic?

@rmacleod ?

I’m a lefty but it looks like a TC2 to me. There are a few pics here you might be able to use for comparison.

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

Thanks Buzz!

Yeah that one looks like a p92. The one I was looking at is a XC9 (from last season) so I guess it’s possible it changed slightly.

They had XC9’s on that site as well I think

Both his XC9s & 6.0s have iterations of the TC2, the 4 digit code is the pattern version & batch number. The second single digit number is a 2, so it'll be be 80 flex.

Do you know if the ones painted as XC9 and 6.0 are what they are painted as? Or are they both the same and he just used a different graphic.

They don't do repaints. So they are true (pun intended) to the graphics.

Okay good to know. Was just surprised that he would switch from a low to mid kick I guess

Thanks for that.

Makes it tricky when your dealing with a not so helpful store over the phone.....

There isn't that bigger difference between the XC and A series IMO. It's more like a variable mid flex and variable low-mid flex.

Funnily enough, I didn’t realize PSHG still existed! Those Kulikovs look like they might be that Barkov pro pattern people were on the hunt for in the Base curve request thread.

This is very accurate. I own 2 Marner pro-stocks and they are true to the graphics in terms the layup. He does have some that are max height blades, but they are all TC2. I got confirmation from a True rep on that. The biggest thing with his sticks is that he uses rounded corners which makes it feel a bit smaller than the retail version with squared off corners.

I have a couple Marners as well and concur with this. Other thing to note tho, his sticks are a bit shorter than retail, had to get a plug for one....
