Question about lie

Hi! If the lie of a stick is high will we need to cut the stick more than a shorter lie one ?

The general thought is higher lie = shorter stick but that obviously varies player by player.

I think it depends on you skating style and your stick length? "A short stick places the heel of the blade closer to the body, a higher lie will ensure the blade is flat on the ice. A longer stick places the blade further from the body, so a lower lie keeps the blade flat." from the wild about hockey blog
