The odds of finding a specific pair of pants at a reasonable price seems to get more difficult by the day. Since I can’t find the pants I want, I thought, why not get the same pants minus the stripes then sew the stripes on? I can either buy similar fabric or take the stripes off a pair of shells.

Has anyone else done this before? Tips/tricks/suggestions?

Thank you.
Ottawa pants Frankenstein’d into Kings pants? Guess I’m glad it’s been done before. Was hoping someone other than a professional equipment manager might have done it to offer pointers. Of course, if that was a professional it’s a pretty rough job

There is a store in Calgary that I contacted in the past for trying to sew some stripes on pants (never did end up getting it done but they showed me pictures of their work and it looked very good.)

I think they're called "Done Right Sports."

Custom everything.

Cool, thanks. I thought a cobbler may be able to do it since it would require more substantial stitching than an average tailor would do

I've done it before. I had to unstitch the thigh board sleeves and remove the thigh boards, stitch the stripes down the sides, then re-sew the thigh board sleeves back on. It was very long, time-consuming, and works best on two-piece pants with the uppers taken off.

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.

Good to know, thanks for the advice
