Either in stick boxes, or you can risk garbage bags, bubble wrap and tape. Ship via the post office, they'll give you the cheapest rate if you ask for it.

Payment, do you mean on this site? Paypal.

Yeah. I guess it's mutually agreed upon, like an e transfer??

It depends on who you're sending money to. We don't use e transfer in the States. PayPal is usually the norm. My suggestion would be to send money as goods and pay the extra 4% to have the protection. I only usually send as gift if it's a small amount, or I know the person well/they have a great track record on the site. I apply the latter part for trades as well.

For shipping sticks: a couple layers of bubble wrap and tape it all down. My thought is if something is forceful enough to break a stick in transit, a box really doesn't provide that much protection. Plus they're large and a pain to store.

We ship over 100 sticks per week and have always used a custom stick box that costs us about $3 per box but have been considering going back to the black poly bag with cardboard and bubble wrap around the blade.

Like the previous poster said, if the stick is getting caught up on a conveyer belt or getting 100's of pound of boxes stack on top of it which I find hard to believe, then its going to more then likely break no matter what its in. Ive gotten broken sticks back in the mail from USPS and it looks like a shark has eaten and spit out the box. No idea how they can get that badly damaged.

USPS will always give you cheaper rates then UPS or Fedex. The truth about shipping sticks is that any SR stick shipped through USPS should receive a "Ballon Rate" charge which makes it ship from the 2-3lb normal rate to the 20lb rate which is about $12-15 more then normal. However most USPS employees are too lazy to measure the packages and will simply scan the item in if you bring it in with a shipping label already attached to it. Any shipped through Fedex or UPS will get audited somewhere along the way by the computer system and you'll end up paying the higher rate no matter what your label says.

Paypal is the best way to go for payment so your protected.
