You mean the injected facing ripped? JR at MSH can fix that for you: http://modsquadhocke...-facing-repair/

If you're not familiar with him, he does amazing work and is very well-respected in the hockey community.

Custom everything.

JR at MSH look's very good. Also Chad at skate tech , has many pictures of that repair on his facebook page. He is a former ST Louis blues Asst equipment manger & has his own shop now , outside of ST Louis.   skatetech29@hotmail.com

Ok great thanks guys, I’m going to call Bauer first then maybe hit these places up. Just picked up Bauer X900s today. I think that molded injected plastic eyelet is a piss poor design. I was told too you can order 1xs with custom with normal eyelets.

I’ve had a cracked eyelit on my 1S for a good year now. It’s in a spot right where the boot starts it’s 90 up so I can get away with it, just have to replace the lace frequently because it cuts through it after a while. Pretty much the worst thing Bauer has done is keep making their skates with the injected eyelits, if it was a simple fix it’d be fine but I have no intention of ever sending my skates away and using old ones in the mean time

Ya I was just skipping that eyelet so it then put pressure on then surrounding one and that one cracked. That’s why I went x900s. A few guys I play with have them and seem to like them a lot. I’ll be trying them this week.

If you're interested JR's turn around time is pretty quick.  I believe he does his repairs the same day he gets the skates and either ships them back out that day or the next.  I had him do a roller conversation for me once and he emailed me with a tracking number the same day he received my skates.  Highly recommended.
