Jofa/RBK/Reebok Shin top flap.....cut or uncut?

I grew up using Jofa shins and had the top flap cut off. After that pair I had a pair of RBK 4ks that had a flap that was in the same shape of the flap that I cut. I now have a pair of 8ks that is cut and and pair of 21ks that is uncut. Seems like the 21ks flap gets caught under the knee cap a lot and is pretty annoying, but then again I don’t like the feeling of my pants getting stuck in the knee cap also. So just curious to see what guys are using.

Just curious who uses these shins and if you cut the top knee/thigh flap off.

Imo it really comes down to if you’re gonna be using them into the Ground or resell

If you add a little more padding to the top of the flap on the inside, it should help protect above your knees if your pants ever come up, and it helps the outer flap stay tucked in. My liners on my 3175’s (early 7K style) came with extra high thigh padding and the only time my outer flaps got stuck was when I forgot to pack my liners after washing them and I had to use extra socks instead. I saw a picture of Edler with a modded pair like that a few years back.
