Continuing on with my last post. I am looking at joining a beginner friendly hockey camp (Hockey is a brand new sport to me completely.) They want new players to have attend and practice in full game gear. Anyway, except a helmet and hockey gloves, could anyone help me find what else to get? I'm looking to spend around $550 CDN for everything from Shoulder Pads to Socks.
I am
6'0 ft
225 lbs (Athletic Build)
Chest 44"-46"

Thanks again!

Try on as much equipment in store as you can.  Hockey equipment is similar to a pair of jeans.  There's all types of fits (ex. loose vs slim fitting) but it comes down to personal preference.

Invest in a good pair of pants.  You'll probably fall a lot in the beginning.  The entry level models offer little protection so try looking for ones in the $99-$119 (or higher) MSRP.  Try on everything the store has in your size.

Find a jock that is comfortable for you.  Jock shorts tend to be very popular.

You can cheap out on the shoulder, elbow and shin pads in the beginning.  Just get something that fits and is comfortable.

If your bag has wheels, you don't.
