At the moment I have 3 pairs of Warrior QRL pro stock gloves. One has the flex cuff, one has a fixed cuff, and one is to a specific player's specs.

I noticed that two of the gloves (player's spec and flex cuff) have the axyflex flap and much stiffer foam than the team stock fixed cuff. The team stock fixed cuff also has a smaller backhand pad under the cuff.

Have any of you noticed the same? The nice part about the smaller backhand piece is that it shortens the glove (which I prefer). But I'm shocked at how squishy the padding is compared to the other two. Why such drastic differences?

Both of the above look the same

Team stock w/ fixed cuff looks completely different

I thought about picking up a pair of QRE w/ the flex cuff then having them shortened by CPR, but even if I did that, they wouldn't be as short as the fixed cuff shown above because of the difference in padding

For the team stock with the fixed cuff - is the warrior stitching on your cuff raised or flat? Were they bought from PSH?

I think your Panarin gloves have the raised stitching based on the photo

If the stitching is flat - then I believe those gloves are probably closer to a QRL Pro or QRL 3 glove rather than a top end glove.

I bought a pair of those and got rid of them immediately because they felt nothing like a proper QRL. I send my floating cuffs to be removed by CPR and they’re amazing after the mods are done.

Hope that helps

Both Blackhawks gloves with raised stitching on the cuff have denser foam, the axyflex flap, and the full protection piece on the backhand.

The all black gloves with the fixed cuff were purchased from PSH. Of course, the floating cuff version was also purchased from them.

Looks like you may have nailed it. Geez. Guess I finally realized the false advertising from them. Thank you

Oddly enough, I actually prefer the fit of the fixed cuff glove! Not sure if it’s just the shortened cuff or what.

How much shorter did you get your cuff? Did they just stitch the floating cuff to the main glove? I was debating about selling all these, picking up a set of QRE, and having that cuff shortened
