How much different is that then a Quad Zero? I have Step Steel and notice alot of extra steel near the back as well. I also noticed they have a slight forward pitch as well which is different then when the stock steel was in. Any trade-off to flattening them out a bit?
I’ve never noticed a forward pitch with my step steel. But I’ve always had the heel shaved down on every pair of runners just for the fact that its less of a chance of heel picking the ice when transitioning and also feels like area of the runner that I use the least when i skate. Toes i keep because because i feel like i need every bit to really snap at the end of each stride.

Several of the quad profiles, as well as others do remove a significant amount of material from the toe.
Correct. That’s more what I was referring to. My understanding is the profiling will take off quite a bit of steel and if I don’t like the profile, I’d have to take off even more to try another one or go back to what I currently use. If I had a spare set of cheap steel I’d try it, but I’m not testing profiles out on the expensive steel

In the UK we don't have the facilities for these crazy hollows, I've known people go stateside and to Canada taken their skates in and been asked what the hell has happened to these.
Makes no sense that they only offer one hollow. Regardless of the size of ROH, dressing the wheel and making your passes remain the same.
If your bag has wheels, you don't.
