I’m hoping that somebody can help me with information on Drew Doughty and his pro pattern/lie. Which variant of the P28, what lie and length? Thanks!

I have a v9 of his and a few s19's of his... They look like a lie 5.5 and they are the standard e28 from Easton

He was a Drury user prior to the E28, right? He’s not necessarily that picky.

I have one of his RS sticks here, seems like a P28 and 5.5 lie, 100 flex maybe..

Letang also. P28 is Drury/P91A with cheat codes enabled so it makes sense.

🏆 Exactly! People often freak when that’s suggested, so I didn’t go quite that far. I can’t believe the popularity of that curve. I love a heel+toe curve, but the toe pocket is just too deep for my taste.

What other curves - pro or retail, do you like that combine the heel and toe benefits.

Pro: Kovalev’s earlier patterns with a very subtle toe curve. Altogether his curve was about as deep as the E4.

Retail: I haven’t tried it yet but the P46 is very close to my own homemade E4+toe curve, just with a slightly shaved toe rocker.

That was my preferred pattern back in high school, but that was before YouTube was available as reference for tinkering with and repairing cracked composite blades, so I suffered through the next best alternatives.

I had an synergy painted as a S17 from when he used that stick earlier in his career and the curve was a drury but almost flat and pretty much closer face. Complete opposite of what he’s using now.
