So I've been using an Easton clip girdle for years and never had an issue with socks falling. Notcing in pro locker rooms pics and news feeds still seeing a lot of these old school clip girdles hanging next to jocks. My easton is done so I tired the velcro style pain in the ass I wear a girdle and it keep coming unlatched on the one side and my thigh pad keep coming in contact with my shin gaurd top knee flap. I'm sorry I have about 20 pairs for pro stock socks so sewing velcro taps on all of them sounds like a pain. Anybody like taping I always thought that would restrict my movement esp around my legs? Any ideas where I can find a clip girdle they dont sell any in the LHS anymore

Here’s a few garter belts that’ll work.

I’m a fan of the CCM jock personally. Modded it a bit and attached traditional garter clips as I didn’t like the plastic ones it came with but now it’s perfect. A little on the pricey side, but it’s holding up way better than any of the ones I used before

Every time I see dudes taping socks to hold them up I always see them falling down and pooling up around the top of the knees. It’s almost like newer players don’t know there’s anything other option but Velcro

I've actually had good success with this industrial strength adhesive Velcro, no need to sew and doesn't come off in the laundry. Never had any issues with them coming undone while skating either. You can get in in precut tabs but I bought the big roll.

I use a garter belt. I don't care for the velcro. I tried it once and they came unhooked, but my garter belt works every time.

I can't do the tape method. I've seen a lot of guys do it, but for me, it doesn't feel right. Most of the guys I talk to that use tape just don't want to spend the money on a garter belt.

Rotate the sock a quarter turn and attach Velcro patches on your jock shorts to the meshy portion of the sock, not the smooth part. I've had no issues at all with this solution.

Anyone have garter belt recommendations? I’ve used whatever junk my LHS has, the $10-12 ones and I’m lucky if I get a half season out of them. I’ve had both the metal and plastic loops.

I've had this CCM one for a while and am really happy with it, much better than the more basic A&R style ones.

I recently switched to garter belt and garter belt with jock is really good. It keeps the jock from scuffing the private areas when striding while holding the socks really neatly.

I got one of these and just cut the jock part off. Waistband is way more comfortable and less prone to pulling down than a regular garter.

I used that one for a few years and the metal clips you set for the length would come undone every time I used it. The elastic straps would stretch out after a few months. It was comfortable (and cheap), but I literally had to replace it every 3 months. You’re not finding the same?

I have never had to add velcro to the reebok edge socks. I have been using shock doctor compression shorts for years.

They all end up like that over time, but I’ve had good luck with this one so far. Once the strap lengths are set there’s no real need to adjust again, so it helps the sew the elastics at the right length and ditch the metal clips.

Same, had plenty of different size socks and brands and never once had them fall down.
