What are the odds of him doing well in Montreal?

Desperate move by a desperate team. No risk picking him up, why not? He can play in your top 6 still and he can potentially be a weapon on the PP. I like it as a Habs fan

LA  was a terrible fit for him, but the money was good and he got a place in Beverly Hills.....He has looked good for 2 games he has a bit of jump and can be a help on the PP....Guys when they are 35+ can't play top minutes. But guys like him Marleau and Spezza can still be of help to a team...

So far, ive been really impressed with Kovy. Seems like a great team player from the outside and is so enthusiast!

 

Scored a goal yesterday and added a shootout goal.

I was really hoping the Bruins would pick him up.  They need secondary scoring so badly and he would have looked good on a line with Krejci or Coyle.  Oh well.  Happy for him that he's playing well again.

1st round pick at the deadline and hes yours. It will be a late 1st anyways and habs need all the picks they can get

I feel no one is giving up that kinda pick for Kovy. To be effective he needs to be your top line winger, eat up all the PP time he can play and I feel no true contender needs that unless some major injuries happen.

IMO, you never have too many players like Kovi on your top 6.

I'm hoping the Habs sign him to a 1 or 2 season contract.

As a Habs fan I’d like to see them hold onto him and offer him a 1 year incentive laden contract. Come be our 3rd line winger and play on our first PP.

Have no fear, Bergevin and Timmins will draft an undersized 5th line center, and then play him first line, and ruin him. Next they will try to convert him into a goalie and finally trade him for pucks.

They are on a 15 year rebuild but have no fear they are on the case....
