I preordered a couple of the Kovy clones he is having made. Should be here early May. All I can say is the dude is great to deal with and really honest. Used to be a member here too I believe

I ordered a few mcdavids also, and he is great to deal with for sure. Everything seems legitimate but just wanted to see if anyone had a first hand feedback. Def let me know what you think when you receive yours.

Sticks look and feel great!  Will eventually get them on the ice when this COVID is over with, but initial impressions are excellent!

What are the specs? 

Does the blade have sand paper finish?

 

Seems like each batch that was coming out was different.  For example, all low kick, then all mid kick.

I ordered mid kick, Bauer type blade finish 60” 75 flex. Mcdavid pro curve.

I ordered a couple custom sticks through his individual customizer.  I honestly really like them, hence why I have 3-4 other sticks up for sale, I keep going back to the Pros. The blade feel reminds me a lot of the old SE16 blade, and the stick shoots like a 1st gen Nexus 1N (which is one of my favourite sticks), all while being sub-400 grams. (I ordered the Red-Line mid-kick build with a Traditional shaft) That is obviously personal preference and opinion on the feel, as I've seen the sticks described and compared to other models too, but I keep going back to mine.

 

He's also a very good dude to deal with. I've had a couple requests regarding my sticks that he was more than happy to accommodate. The only negative in my opinion is the turnaround time is quite a bit, but he's basically a one-man operation still, so it is not a deal breaker. Just know that if you order a custom through him, it will be 6-8 weeks to be delivered.

I donated to the Setoguchi curve in a RH. If that curve passes the kickstarter, his brand will be the only sticks I order.

I donated for the Hornqvist. That’s become my favorite and it isn’t all that easy to find. To be able to customize a stick with that blade would be awesome.

I think he said the customizer will be back up on February 1st. I'm assuming because the factory is in China and they are shut down for Chinese New Year?
