I have been coaching for the past couple months and have been wearing the referee shins from Bauer. I love how mobile it is. 

 

However, Im looking for something that is just a tad bit more protective than my referee shin for my hockey games. 

 

Right now Im looking at the Sherwood 5030 Shins & Bauer NSX. If anyone has any experience with these or has any recommendations. Pls let me know!!

I wore the 5030 HOF’s for a couple of weeks while my regulars were being repaired. At first they felt wide and bulky, but once I got playing I couldn’t really tell the difference. I prefer a double strap on the back, these only have a single on the calf, nothing tape can’t fix. They are definitely not high end, but for $50, they would definitely give decent protection.
