I am getting back into roller hockey and havent played serious since mid 2000s. My last Inline skate was the last version of the Mission Proto VSI's. I found a good deal on some 8.5ee Mission NLS1 skates, but not sure how the fit is anymore. The boot looks like it allows for a little more volume, which I definitely need. Does anyone have experience with these? Is the fit a little deeper? Do these run wider?

My new Bauer Custom 2x Pro are an 8ee with added volume and fit perfect. Looking for some info on the Mission NLS1's or any recommendations on other Inline skates. I may convert my old skates, but they are pretty beat up and soft now and not sure they will hold up to roller. I am a heavier guy around 230, so need something to stand up and last. Any help would be great.

Bauer bought Mission around 2009. Since approximately 2010 Mission skates use the Supreme last. So if you're an 8EE in Supremes then you'd need the same size in the NLS1 - the 8.5EE's will be a half size too long.

Other options: Tour inline skates are known for being wide and deep, but fit about a half size smaller than Bauer/Mission; so you'd need 8.5 in those. Newer Alkali skates are said to have a Supreme like fit and I believe they also fit a half size smaller than Bauer.

I think 8EE high end Missions are your best bet if you fit well in 8EE Supremes though.
