Anyone ever made a jump back into retail gear from a pro stock habit? Blasphemy I know. Each time I go to the LHS for a sharpening, I mess with the retail gloves and think “dang these are nice.” So after all kinds of tinkering with PS gear, I grabbed some retail FT1 gloves. LOVE EM. I’ve also been skating in a retail ST girdle for a while. So besides my V08, pretty much everything I have now in my bag is retail gear. Still using PS sticks due to cost. I had some PS Jetspeed gloves and they felt really cheap compared to these retail version. I dunno, I love gear, but the retail offerings right now aren’t that bad. Anyone else?

I got prostock shoulders and pants. Sometimes I feel they are simply too protective or heavy on me when I play beer league games

I love the fit/feel of my current pro stock gloves but also spent quite a bit at CPR getting them exactly how I wanted so I’m probably sticking with them. No complaints about my HP45 pants and see no reason to change unless it’s to test the waters with a girdle (new jetspeed seems nice). I have 6 pro stock sticks if for no other reason than the price was right. Other than that, it’s just pro stock socks which I won’t move away from. I don’t even really wear pro stock practice jerseys anymore. Remaining protective is all retail

For me I have pro stock V08s and a 4K helmet. No difference from retail I believe. Just harder to find models.
I wear pro stock 11k shoulders. They are beefy but I play with some strong players and the chest protection is perfect. Wish the caps were smaller.
I wear retail 2SPro elbows. I just love them. Usually I buy clearance and they are night and day over the crappy RBZ ones I had.
Pants I wear retail super tacks. Don’t need the protection the PS ones have
Shins I wear Sherwood M90. I can’t for the life of me fine PS 13” shins so I gave up. These are good enough. Only worn them once so far.
Skates I wear retail nexus. Hate them.
Gloves I have all PS. HG97, 98, warrior franchise and some verbero randoms.
All sticks are clearance high end retail. I like 60-70 flex sticks and P29/92/03 so it’s pretty easy for me to find what I want.

I got some M90 retail gear (pants and gloves) this past winter. Fit great and for the price they are pretty good.

I was looking at the gloves too (I have lots but I was curious.) pretty protective?I got some M90 retail gear (pants and gloves) this past winter. Fit great and for the price they are pretty good.
