Not sure if anyone had put this out before, but my 2 Easton helmets are starting to break down, I had e-mailed Easton a couple yrs ago & they sent me a couple packs of replacement padding but they are almost beyond use.  What are the newer models that are similar in fit & weight,  I've been looking at the Warrior Alpha One Pro.  I really find the comfort level for me was great in the E700.

Some of the pros who used Easton wore the E400. You might want to try one of those if you can find them.  I think you are right the E700 is a little more comfortable and it's also somewhat lighter than the E400, but I switched to the E400 because the fit is more snug and feels like it provides better protection. I've always felt that the Easton helmets provide better air flow than other helmets too.

Alpha One is super comfy but doesn't fit in the same way & is pretty heavy. Try a CCM Resistance or Tacks 710.

I have tried so many helmets and I find the 4500 the best for comfort but appreciate that that statement is specific to each head

4500 were my go to helmets before I got the Eastons. I tried one of my older ones recently, it hurt my head in a few places digging in.

I went to Hockey Monkey  yesterday, tried on the True, Alpha One reg & Pro,  found the CCM's were heavy.

True & A1 Pro were closest to E700,  now to find a sale......  think True has a promo going, spend over so much & get $50-150-250 off.

You can get an AOP in any size for like, $70 on SLS, maybe $100 brand-new. I just sold a brand-new retail large in black for $90 + ship, bought a used pro stock medium in white w/ a visor for $75 + ship.

I ordered one from Sportchek.ca in July and ended up returning it to a store when I received it. It was supposed to be the black gloss version and it ended up being the black matte version and while it came in the original box, the logos were peeling, there were several white marks and even an indent. They let me return it without issue, but I hope they didn't relist that one and this is a different helmet that's actually gloss and in good condition.

I already own a few E700s, but know they're hard to find now so wanted another spare. I did briefly own a Warrior Alpha Pro and it wasn't bad, but couldn't match the weight or comfort of the E700; so I sold it after a few uses and picked up another NOS E700 on SLS.

I tried on the True. It's lighter than some helmets, but definitely heavier than the E700. It also wasn't as comfortable the way I tried it on, but I didn't try any of the different padding options.

The only thing that I've tried on that for me felt close comfort wise is the CCM Fitlite 3DS. It's definitely not as light, but it was a very comfortable helmet on my head. I've read/heard good things about the current Tacks helmets as far as comfort goes, but haven't tried any of those on. The X Carbon helmet they're promoting looks like it would be very well ventilated, but it's probably going to cost a small fortune and I don't think it will compare weight wise with the E700.
