Discuss, I’m assuming they ditched the elliptical taper of the Flylite as it doesn’t seem like the stick has it now but didn’t know much about it.

Judging by this picture of the prototype stick, I feel like elliptical is still there

Looks a little boxier. From the impression that I have gotten it didn’t seem like people ended up liking it very much but maybe that’s because you only hear about the negative stuff

It’ll be on the finished retail product,

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

I never understood why there was so much hate for the elliptical taper. I loved it on the old Easton stealths

I don't know why Bauer went stiff/pingy blade with the elliptical though... I was hoping a stick that felt like the RS and it absolutely didn't.

Never felt blade heavy to me, but definitely could be for others.

I hear that about the blade and taper not being a great match. Like you said though, I think that's more of an issue with the blade than the elliptical taper. I only shot the flylite once and never owned one, but it felt decent to me

I have only used retail CX six and I found that they were much better for wrist shots than snap or slap shots. It’s like the taper liked the sweeping motion for loading but vapor guys love the blade and Bauer already has a soft blade stick and middle stiffness blade

Hyperlite graphics look very similar to the Flylite in this pic. They should have kept the subtle simple look that NHLers are using now.

That look like a FlyLite, no?

From this pic it looks like small differences from Flylite. Where the Bauer logo is near hosel area - Flylite is grey whereas in this pic there’s no grey. And the yellow logo at the top side of shaft looks like a defined rectangular “block”....I don’t think Flylite had this - I could be mistaken though....

Yes it does have the elliptical taper. It is also 385g and has a new Hypercore blade but no other details on this. The catalog was posted on Reddit.

Supposedly that is the team stick and not the Hyperlite. I have no clue if that is the truth or not.

Anyone had a chance to try it? Is it similar to flylite?
