Hey guys, it wasn't long ago that I was polling the group on cages..I haven't played enough since buying them to get used to it..but in my boredom and curiosity..I'd like to try a bubble.  What is the best one that fogs the least?  Reading good things about the Bauer Concept 3, but does that fit well on a CCM V08?  Any feedback is appreciated!

I used a concept 3 and never had fog issues. Was running it with an RBK 4K pro helmet at the time. Air flow was decent, nothing like a cage, but the vision improvement was worth the trade off for me.

I switched back to an Itech FX-50 as it sits a little further off the face and has better air flow for my preference.

Try the CCM FV1, they did some great work with it.

I used Concept III and had no fog issues, I always use the anti fog spray before usage.

Second the CCM bubble. I had the Bauer one and always had problems with slight fogging at the bottom of the visor part, right around my nose. When we started wearing masks, it became unusable. I tried the CCM version and it has worked pretty great so far. Mask and all.

That's the FV1 Dupes mentioned?  Thanks for the info!

I prefer the CCM cage. Use it on a RBK 11k pro stock and the fit is great, no fogging.

correct. I'm a cage user but got a full visor to use during COVID. it was an easier transition than I expected.

ditto the CCM bubble, coating is quite durable and it doesn't fog up

I guess I'll be contrary by saying I prefer the Bauer visor/cage hybrid.  You get the visibility of a visor with the airflow of a cage.  Fogging at the bottom of the visor is a minimal issue.  Anti-fog spray before games solves it.  I haven't played during COVID, but I was able to add the Bauer RTP facemask to it easy enough.  We'll see how that goes once I return to the ice in a month or so.  Double vaccinated now!

+1 to the FV1. I've always hated bubbles and cages, but have had zero issues with the FV1 in the few games I've used it.

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.

I ended up getting an FV1, haven't used it yet but installing it was very difficult.  Not sure if the hardware on the front of my helmet was the problem (maybe pitched a bit in the wrong direction) but the black clips were so thick and inflexible I had a hard time getting it to grab..ended up splitting the back half off the black clip off to get secured on the front of the bucket.  Hoping the next one I apply isn't as difficult..assuming I like the way it games.

I tried an FV1 on my V08 not long after they were released.  I've always been a cage guy (half shield for a couple of years before coming to my senses) but wanted to give the bubble a shot.  I had high hopes for the FV1, it looks great and fit really well on the V08, unfortunately for me, it was too small for my face.  I guess I have a long face because the FV1 was too short, even with the clips flipped it didn't feel right (and then didn't sit right)... on CCM cages I'm right between a medium and a large, neither fit well so I normally wear a Marge Bauer which is slightly smaller than a large CCM, unfortunately I think they sized the FV1 as a medium so I was out of luck.
