Damn 15" shins at 5'7?
Im 5'8 and wear a 13" Nexus 600 Sr Bauer. Shins over tongue.
Really happy with the fit of it
Retail CCM run about an inch shorter than almost every other brand, hence 15". I wore 14 " Easton EQ Pros and 14 " APXs and were about the same length

I've had a few CCM/RBK retail pads over the years, as well as some Bauer X900's a few years ago and if anything the Vapors were slightly shorter than any of the CCM/RBK's, not by much but it was part of the reason I got rid of them.
I'm 5'9" and wear 15" shins, currently have Jofa 5090's and CCM 19K Pro (got these right when Covid hit so haven't even had a chance to try them yet), previously I had SuperTacks. I've always been a shins over tongues guy but feel like my shins don't go as low as they used to over the skates, I think it may be b/c of modern boot designs (comparing my current skates to old Graf 705's from the 90's), I don't think I could comfortably wear a 16" shin guard so I'll just deal with it.

I was in 15’s for years and then decided to drop down a size. The 14’s just seem to fit and look better overall.

I’m 6’2 and I wear 15” when I flop because they rest perfectly on the top of my tongues at the size. If I’m going to tuck my tongues I go 16” to get a little more coverage so they’re not trying to pop out.

It all depends on the skate, how you tie it, and shape of the shin guard, how you tape it, etc. a bunch of variables.
I've had some shins that felt too tight on top of the skate so flattened the bottom a little to make them sit a little nicer, others don't interfere much because they're a little wider. Also some skates have the top eyelet area a little thicker or higher which will change how it sits (I generally skip my second eyelet but do the top eyelet, I'd imagine those who skip the top eyelet might have more interference). Then there's how you tape your shins... if you go lower and tighter with the tape it'll restrict more (some people go almost around the ankles), if you leave the bottom of the shin looser, either by not taping as tight down there or not doing a lower wrap, you'll have a little more freedom of movement. So yea, there's a lot of variable lol.
