Why is Hall still wearing the original 1x skates?  I don't see many still wearing the originals/

Gaudreau wore them for a couple of years after as well. Must have a preference to the particular boot and doesn't want to change is my guess

The OG 1X is one of the better looking Bauer skates still imo

My first guess is Hart Trophy. Can be hard to change things after something like that.

Think it is the real x90 skates. i think he loves the tech mesh quarter package from the X:60 and the x90 is the only skates that still have this w/ the carbon outsole not like the current 2x pro line. he is also still using the lightspeed 2 holder

The general reason is some guys find something that works and don’t want to switch it up. Kind of like Kyle Wellwood and his dire need for Koho Torpedo Shafts after they stopped making them. Ironically I have a brand new one sitting unused for many years. Should have contacted him when he was still playing.

Strange thing is they are Nexus sticks.  I'm kinda surprised Bauer would not push them to newer graphics package.
