So this is more of a I’d like to see some opinions on my situation type post, but here it goes:

Ordered custom FT4s at the beginning of June, being told I should have them by middle/end of July through Pure. Start to approach the end of July and I reach out to CCM and Pure simply for an update. Pure doesn’t get back to me and CCM tells me the were delivered two weeks earlier.

A week later I break my leg (tib, fib, torn deltoid ligament - now have a plate, six screws, tight rope and buttons in my ankle) and pure was like hey your skates are in. I show them the email from CCM and they comp me a set of steel and $100 gift card.

So my question is now that my ankle is likely a different shape, I’m worried about these skates not fitting as I’m hoping to be skating by December again. Does anyone have any insight on how CCM and/or Pure might broach this?

They maybe able to help you fit in them? Unless your ankle has a huge bump now?

Maybe you can have one new boot made and have the holder, tongue, and steel of the old boot transferred onto the new boot. Try contacting CCM directly?

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.

I’m ten weeks out from surgery, so it’s still hard to say what the final shape is going to be when it’s all said and done.

I kinda feel like responsibility of this falls on Pure since they never told me my skates were delivered to the store. If I would have gone when they were delivered I would have had to just deal with the new ankle and getting it to fit.

Talk about bad luck.

That sucks. Sorry to hear about your ankle and the bad timing with the skates. I hope something works out to get you in comfortable skates at the end of this.
