I was surprised when I saw this, but he has earned and will continue to deserve it. The kid is a great 2 way player and can only get better.

Kobasew is 10 years younger and has neither the C or the A haha I like the choice, don't know much about Landeskog but he is a great young upcoming player... perhaps a bit too young to hold the title captain, but I think Hejduk can help him come along a fair amount

He's young, but he's ridiculously mature for a player his age.

I never knew he was a mature player. He always seemed to have the potential to be a good leader that can lead by example, but it does seem early in his career for captaincy.
Not Duchene? It's hard to tell which young players are leaders since there isn't much insight into their attitude and personality.

Landeskog has been a leader since day one of junior. Came over to Canada without the slightest accent. One of the nicest players I met while working for the Guelph storm. Duchene is far from a leader.

Yeah Landy getting the C wasn't really a surprise, lots of people figured he'd be the natural leader to step in even at his young age. After all of his seasons in Kitch as a key character player, you knew he'd have that impact on his NHL team. Really glad that the Avs rewarded him

You know, for the owners being so broke, i'm shocked from what seems like 18 players randomly got signed to 5-6 year 25-32 million dollar contracts last night. Yeah really freaking broke. Stupid. STUPID
