I hope they win. this "retail authentics" crap has been going on way too long, even before Adidas took over the jerseys.

They will settle most likely, get these folks their hush money and then continue with this racket

Sadly by the time they get through the courts, even if they do win, Adidas’ contract will be up. As a jersey collector, the adidas era has sucked. Spent way more money on gamers than I would have liked!

When was the last time retail authentics matched the on-ice quality? 2007 just before the box cut was axed in favor of the Reebok Edge uniform system? Feels like everything since then has been a slap in the face to fans. Adidas ostensibly walking away with a slap on the wrist at worst only pisses me off more.

EDGE 1.0 was available at retail. Even if the majority of players only wore them for part of a single season. And while EDGE 2.0 wasn't always easily available at retail, they were attainable fairly easily through numerous vendors in smaller sizes (50/52).
