One of my old bags has some rust around the metal buttons, anyone have any tips on how to clean and remove?

Try some aggressive steel wool with some vinegar, it seemed to work on a few of my old metal pieces

Would recommend the same. I typically do that to the metal snaps on my helmet strap since they start to oxidize after a season or two

You may have luck at a luggage repair place too. Tvey may be able to pop them out and replace them with something more resilient.

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

Thank you everyone! will try steel wool and vinegar, and then the luggage repair as a back up.
