Anyone know Johnny Park (sisksk181 on sideline) from Burlington, Ontario?

Purchased skates from him that were clearly not as described and texted him (we had exchanged numbers). I was willing to keep them to save the hassle if he provided a partial refund. He offered $150 and we agreed. Here’s where a took a gamble, he asked if I would accept the item as described to get the funds first (said his wife would kill him if she found out he didn’t get a certain amount for the skate sale). So he wanted to send the refund on the DL. I agreed to help him out and of course as soon as the funds cleared, I never heard from him again and he blocked my number. Our community is heavily built on trust and this really pains me to know that there are people like this out there. I know I took a risk, BUT trying to help the guy out. In any event, does anyone know this guy? I have all his information (address, phone number, etc.)

If you have his info I would be sending a nice box of dog shit to his house.

I was actually thinking of submitting his cell number to every spam service/hotline known to man, BUT he also has my number, so...

Maybe reach out to sideline support with screenshots of the text conversation to see if they can initiate the refund on their side? Probably a stretch but worth a shot.

Hey Zach, I tried that, but unfortunately once the funds are released to the seller, they have no power

That sucks. What part of the skates were not as described? Is it an issue that can be fixed at a shop or is it damage to the skates themselves?

I have gotten a lot of items in much worse condition than described, so I don't budge until they give a partial refund. There are tons of scammers and dishonest users on SLS, most of the time on newly created accounts with zero feedback. I have had some loser create 5+ accounts just to stalk and attempt to scam me many times, as shown in the "deadbeat eBayers" thread. Reasons like these are why I refuse to sell to any brand new accounts, even if it means potentially turning down legitimate customers. It's not worth the hassle and risk since SLS will side with the buyer every single time, even if they have zero feedback and you have hundreds of positives. It's a huge flaw that SLS needs to fix, but unfortunately they're more focused on unnecessarily changing their user interface every few weeks.

Also, consider getting a free Google Voice number when dealing with strangers. I never give my real number out to anyone other than trusted members on here.

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.
