Anyone else find that the toe box on CCM skates has a little piece of something covered in fabric that juts out right around where the toe box meets the boot on the pinky toe side? They’ve made it drastically less noticeable on the FT6 Pro, but it’s still there.

Anyone has experience getting rid of this or punching it? Or know if baking the skates or putting Superfeet in will make it less noticeable. I found a pair of ASV-pro that fit perfect everywhere, but that one piece is a little bit annoying as it rubs on my pinky toe. Trying to decide if it’s a deal breaker for me.

I think what your talking about is part of the removeable tongue , if you have that tongue. I noticed it when putting in power foots.

It’s on the side, not the top.

I had the same issue with the toe box on a pair of 100K's, but on the big toe side. I used one of these with good results: https://www.icewareh...-EANKLEPAD.html. If your local shop has them in stock, maybe they will allow you to take one out of the package and put it in your boot for reference.

Otherwise, check to see if any shops near you use a Custom Skateworks boot punch. I have one and it has the ability to punch out toe boxes. https://www.instagra...fBhwAcuV/?hl=en

"What is your lowest/best price?" is NOT an offer.

Thanks man! Super helpful as always. I think the Custom Skateworks boot punch might be my best bet as I feel like the gel pad might add a bit too much volume. I think I’ll give both a try, though.

I went through that with a pair of 100ks last year.it was so bad I returned them. Another pair was available recently and I gave them another shot and this time they worked out. Never had that issue with FT1s or 2s

I’m thinking I’ll try to leave the first few eyelets super loose and see if that works. Seems to alleviate a lot of the pressure just wearing them sitting around the house. If it’s still an issue, I’ll look into having them punched.

These might help you to separate lacing zones do you can leave the bottom loose without it affecting the overall lacing.
