Just seen JRZ ( same as step steel ) make a runner that can be used in either a tuuk edge or speedblade Xs holder, pretty Cool. Great JRZ is sticking it to Bauer.

Byonic has sold something similar for a while, I remember researching it earlier this year when looking for an alternative to Step for my XS's and was surprised I hadn't heard abut it before.  Couldn't find many reviews at all and found a great deal on Step Black so just stuck with what I knew (Byonic started selling it 3ish years ago so if it was really god I guess we'd hear more about it lol).

Hard to find much about them online now, seems like only 1 place still has some:

I've sharpened a few pair of JRZ's for customers and they're definitely up there in quality with Step. I may get a pair in the future, but I have a good amount of Step Blacksteel left. I also love my Byonic steel.

Jrz steel is nice. I have 2 pairs for my Machs quad profile on them . I used Blade tech for a little while after Tydan stopped making steel. I liked Bladetech but nice to have taller steel back I personally like the feel better.

Talked to one of the guy's at B - Sharp in Ottawa & he said JRZ was formed by former employee's from Stepsteel , who started JRZ when Ccm took over. He said there are no pattion's on most runners , so they bought some machines & had all the supply connections & started up JRZ.

JRZ is a reputable, top-quality bag brand, so their steel should follow suit.

I know their steel is top notch but I'm curious what corners had to be cut to make the same set be able to fit in BOTH XS and LS Edge holders, seems like you'd have to sacrifice some firment on each to get them to snap in properly, also certain sizes are slightly different, like CCM is 271 and Bauer 272, so not exact same lengths.  Maybe JRZ found a better way than Byonic, or maybe they'll just market it better.

Just curious if anyone has had anymore experience with this steel? I’m starting to run low on my STEP stock and am looking for a comparable alternative.
