Has anyone worn or checked out both and can speak to quality/fit/weight? My LHS doesn’t have either at the moment so I can’t try on. I’ve worn pants forever but am considering a girdle for the closer fit and shell customization potential. I also put my skates on first so the Bauer wrap style would be a plus for convenience vs a step in.

Thanks guys!

I’ve worn both and wasn’t overly impressed with either outside of them both being quite light. 9K and Supertacks are definitely the upper echelon of girdles IMO. Also, putting your skates on first is absolute psychopath behaviour.

I'm also a skates-on first guy.  It just helps to get a snugger fit on my skates. I put my skate guards on when putting on some girdles.

The Bauer ACP pro runs hot and lacks breathability the 3 or 4 times I've used it. It is considerably lighter. I believe the only difference with the tacks and jetspeed girdles are tailbone pad adjustability and kidney guard padding.

Padding-wise Bauer ACP feels as minimal as possible in a good way. The Jetspeed feels like a weight and mobility compromise from pants and a heavy girdle such as the 9k or Sherwood.
