I highly doubt they'll release the XL versions to the general public. It seems like pros don't even use XL versions. The first (and only) one I've seen so far is the Cammalleri 1NXL.
saw fowler using a 1NXL painted as a 2N pro earlier this year but he went back to W05WE

Saw this guy tweet his new Bauer skates thanking them for the hook up. On the letter it says both his left and right foot are 8/14” so I’m just wondering, is there even any point in doing the whole My Bauer thing if all that’s going to be custom is the name and number on the tongues? It seems no different than a retail boot. I’m assuming the team bought these for him so spending a few extra hundred dollars on screen printing “9 Thomas” wasn’t a big deal but for the average joe who has the exact same size left and right feet, what’s the point?
8 1/4 isn't available at retail, though, so there's that.

Well I guess you got me there, legit didn’t know since I’ve been buying the exact same size of Bauer’s for probably 10 years. Let’s say his feet were 8.5 then, pose it that way. Both feet exactly the same size yaddya yaddya ya, is there any reason other than the tongue not to just get retail?

The boot is made around the shape of his foot, regardless of length or width, having the boot contour to the shape of the foot, arch and ankles is huge.
Also, even if your custom skates are an 8D boot with stock specs, youre still getting a skate made in Blainville, not china

That’s cool then, I was under the impression that Bauer being the major company that it is wouldn’t actually be constructing boot molds for every joe blows custom skate order tbh (I know VH does)
Also Wheel Snipe, I’m glad you think a simple question on here is hilarious. I would say 0.1% of people who buy hockey equipment would actually know any of that (and talking in dressing rooms to the average person, they don’t even know half of what you guys talk about on here). Not everyone’s a pro stock expert, I come here because you guys are and I learn.
