Yes, the rest of the glove looks OK, but the jewel looks terrible. It does look like something you'd see on a comic book character. 

 

APX2 and 1S = the greatest Bauer gloves IMO

Hopefully they don’t start putting that BMX style neon on their retail stuff now.

That neon is terrible. The glove would look fine without the neon though. 

 

It also seems that black palms are a new retail trend based on the new QRE10 and Vapor 2X Pro.

Warrior had black palms on retail QRL's and QRE's, Bauer had black palms on retail APX and black/colored palms on other Vapors, so not really new.

Good point. Nothing wrong with the black palms anyway. The neon is the eye sore.

I'm a bit disappointed Bauer's doubling down on the rubber logos they started sticking on stuff last year. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I much prefer the stitched logo. I honestly think the 2X looks chintzy compared to the APX2 pictured directly below them. Hopefully they fit and feel a lot better than they look.

Not too sure how i feel about those 2X gloves atm. Colors are unique to say the least, but the rubber logos remind me of the all leather pro stock bauer 4 rolls from around 10 years ago

As a long-time Bauer aficionado, I have mixed feelings about some of the gear. I like that they got rid of the busy stitching and the obsolete lacing system on the pants, and I like the look of what appears to be a neoprene strap on the bicep protection of the shoulder pads (as I really love the straps on my Warrior Bonafides), but like the gloves, some of it looks a bit cheap and cost-cut in certain places to pass for top-of-the-line gear. The pants also got the rubber logos. Ick. I was really hoping those would end up being a one-time experiment with last year's Supreme line, but it seems Bauer's running with it.

Again though, I'll be happy to eat my words once we get a chance to feel them and try them on in the shops.
