The two size offering has been a long time coming.

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

Yup. The catalog is floating around online somewhere. Catalyst. Not a fan of True gloves, took one gamble on some pro stocks a while back and wasn't impressed. I wouldn't buy anything else again without trying them on

Ngl these are the best looking gloves from True by far. I'd definitely give it try first at the retail store

Any idea what skates these are? Screenshot from the Blackhawks’ recent video about Kane’s 1,000th game. The toe cap looks like a textured cap from 20+ years ago

Duncan Keith, He wears V-Cut 2X Pros with the old school toe cap and Tuuk Custom + Holders

Huh. I knew about the V-cut, not about the toe cap. I wonder why?

Even the standard "V" cut term doesn't apply to Dunc. Yes there are some tech advances there, but pretty much a XX/XXX with graphics. Hence why he still uses a ridiculous amount of tape on his ankles every game and pretty much makes a custom flex to his skates. He essentially still wears what he did playing for MSU. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

He uses much less tape than he did when he was younger.

How is it not a standard v-cut lol? That toe cap will be an option on full custom until they run out of supply. Same with the custom plus.

He wore grafs for the longest time and they were just about as tight fitting as humanly possible which is also why he used so much tape.

Keith? When did he wear Grafs? Why did he use so much tape, because his skates were tight?

To keep them as stiff as possible. Same reason guys used to the quarters restitched in a web pattern. Decrease boot flex.

I thought that stitching was done to prolong the longevity of skates the had gone soft. It’s often a pretty localized intervention.

What about Keith and Grafs?

Former Blackhawks EQM Clint Reif (rip) told that Keith also skates with brand new waxed laces each game and each practice.
IIRC Clint changed them for him and he tried to fool Keith a few times but Duncan felt the difference.

I think it was on a Road to winter classics episode.

Nils Höglander of the Canucks used to do it in AIK as a 17 year old playing for the Big team until he got caught and lectured by the older Pros. Not sure if he still does that any longer.

Willy Nylander used what looked to be a new Bauer stick graphic in the Leafs vs Oilers game on Saturday. Anyone know if that would be the final Hyperlite graphic? Or could this be an early sighting of the Sling stick? (Don’t know how to post pix on here)
