Agree on both points, for sure. Those Vaughns are dreamy, whereas the Vapors look like once all-gold pads that were fished out of a cement truck.

As a logo minimalist, I honestly can't decide if I like the branding on the side or not. I guess I'm just more disappointed that the Sharks continue to stubbornly refuse to put the white and teal stripe back on their pants.

I agree with the minimalism on the pants. Its conflicting to me because its so boring.
I also think that the Sharks just need to bring back the original uniforms from the 90s as a full time setup. As a Sharks fan, seeing that they're continuing to keep things more and more boring really bums me out.  They removed the orange from the glove branding, there were no special gloves for the heritage or RR jerseys, and now they're removing the alternate "SJ" logo on the pants. I wonder what else they'll do to keep things uninspired

That’s a shame. With the Avs getting rid of their black pants, NJ was the only team left with all black no logo pants (not counting Philly, Vegas, etc with colored logos). Although this photo makes the logo look like a runner patch the way the light bounces off of it

Are there thirds this year, heard a rumor some teams had new thirds this year? I know Reverse Retro is retired and the next version is supposed to be a “future” take on logos.

If you zoom in you can see they're not blacked out, as there's a pattern in the quarters, but it's a little hard to make out. It's definitely not as plain as Kuch's original prototype UltraSonics, nor as cheeky as the Prototype Vapors seen last year. It's also not a toned down UltraSonic graphics package. There's a jewel that looks kind of Alkali or RibCor circa 50K in the hinge area around eyelets 4 and 5 from the top. Also an S graphic on the heel which should stand out even if the skate gets covered in shot blockers on the sides.

Looks like the toe box is a bit more low profile and anatomical, more like the Makos than TF series or the old customs. Looks like these will replace the TF, hopefully they resolved the sizing
