For some reason after his entire career using an Oakley short cut visor, I noticed in the playoffs Mackinnon switched to a Bauer.
Seems so weird of a thing to do out of no where tbh

He should probably buy some of his visors back from NHLGEAR on SLS.

Might not be able to afford them unless this series gets some solid viewership

Any details on the wrist guards that MacKinnon, Kucherov, Kane, and others are wearing?  They look like a modernized version of the Jofa wrist guards, but black and a lower profile

Pretty confident Kane is still wearing Jofa versions:

Kucherov does appear to have lower profile black guards but I can’t find a good pic at the moment. If you want a low profile/less expensive alternative to jofa, you should check out evo shield. Looks like they finally rebranded a pair for hockey, but I’ve used the previous baseball versions without issue

Good call on Kane. My mistake.

I think Cirelli was wearing them as well.

Evoshield does have that same aesthetic, but these looked built into the elbow pad rather than a compression sleeve style of wrist guard

Canucks using manufacturer branding on the side of their pants and removed the stripes

The new style pants look really nice. Check them out on you tube (development camp). Lou Lamoriello started this trend back with the Devils and many teams: Leafs, Sharks, Kings, Islanders have followed the trend.

Noticed that the yotes just put a new logo on top of their old logo on their practice jerseys.

Very noticeable on the white jersey closeups.

I asked about this change on Twitter (so take it for what it's worth), and someone pointed out that these stripe-less Canucks pants are exactly what Abbotsford wore last season in the AHL.

Meanwhile, Fin the mascot made an appearance yesterday wearing the standard striped pants, so who knows? (IIRC, Fin was the first to wear the changed white stick-in-rink logo on the pants when the team switched two years ago).

I don't think he's talking about the Kachina logo, he's referring to the weird virtue signaling X looking thing on the thumb.

Referring to the upper thumb. I have not seen it on gear yet
