2011 Capitals Fan Fest
Fan Fest will be held on the final day of the Capitals Development Camp, July 16, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington.
The popular event will feature the team’s annual equipment sale, inflatable games and
autograph sessions with Matt Hendricks and some of the Capitals' top prospects(TBD) as well as a special free open skate.
Season-ticket holders will have the first opportunity to shop at the equipment sale; details on that opportunity will be sent
to each account in this week’s planholder update.

Apparently the Caps had a lot of complaints about last years sale. This year only TWO people per account are allowed. Last year it was up to 4 for each (I think) They also will not allow people to arrive in line and then let a friend join. For example if you show up at 8 and get in line and your friend comes at 845 for the 9am session, instead of years past where he/she can just walk up to where you are they will be placed in the back of the line and now allowed to advance. There are other changes as well to create a more "peaceful" shopping experience, I'll post when the ticket rep e-mails me tomorrow.
A friend is going to tell me tomorrow what kind of pants/gloves/etc they'll have. I'm assuming with the Winter Classic this year they will be unloading all of their gear for their current 3rd (their W/C jersey)

The Washington Capitals were selling game used sticks (Orpik, Erskine, WIlson, Chimera, The Fehr was sold, Backstrom APX kinda rare now, and more) prices ranged from $100 (Green 52 CCM) - $200-$500- $800 (Ovie 8 NXG). Some great deals for lefties, I was so bummed I'm a right shot. Training Camp practice jerseys ($80), Holt's Pads, Peter's Blocker and catcher ($400), Ovie Skates, Brouwer skates ($400) 9 3/4 (EE I believe) APX or APX 2's not sure how much Ovie's skates were priced at though, and goal pucks on the 1st level concourse. Prices are high, boys. But a few nice stick deals for all you lefties. They're going to be selling more stuff now throughout the season aside from St. Patrick's Day type games etc. from what I was told.
