Anyone know what material the EQM used on the inside of Lids 8k's?

Absolutely. You can buy it in sheets. I think they might have stuck it between two sheets of foam, cause it's usually encased in a pretty rough housing.

ive modded all my gear

modded pants by stitching belly protector lace loops and minor rips

modded my shins and repaired them multiple times

sewn/hemmed pro socks

sewn garter belt things onto my 8k jock

sewn in extra backhand padding in my franchises
made multiple repairs to my gloves

sewn all new straps on my pro warrior shoulder pads

shortened/ replaced all straps on my 7k pro elbows

sewn custom reinforced patches in the bottom of my 8k pro shin liners to stop the material from ripping with marine grade vinyl

replaced tongues on almost every pair of skates i own

the list goes on and on lol

After wearing these in a game I soon realized why some people cut off the tops of their shin pads. These kept getting caught on the bottom of my pants, looking and feeling pretty awkward. The solution: sew some elastic to keep the tops down. Worked like a charm. I have a few other mods in mind for these too...

Good idea Mincy. When I was a kid I had Jofas that did the same thing, I had to tape my thighs to prevent the flaps from catching the pants.

That is a good idea. It happens to me from time to time with mine, but not too often. It used to when I wore a pair of RBK 520s though. Literally every skate. Numerous times. It was maddening.

I use the garter jock and have not much give to my socks when done up. This never happens to me!

Thanks guys. I've been looking into getting a garter jock, the velcro on what I wear now doesn't hold pro stock socks anymore. Shock Doctor has an all-in-one I'm looking into buying. Seems to have good reviews.

I have that cup but use it with a different jock. It's huge! Definitely bigger than most of the other ones I've seen that come with other hockey jocks. It also doesn't go as far between your legs as other. That part at the bottom is shorter than others.

Best Garter/Jock combo around. If you can get it you won't regret it.

I suspect for defensive protective reasons, lots of 100 mph shots coming near him
