Anyone else seeing major issues with the USPS the past week or two? I have two packages enroute to me. One scanned outbound, but nothing further. Just "in transit, arriving late." Another package hasn't been scanned into the system at all. The business owner proactively contacted me and stated that she handed over eight packages to their carrier and none are showing in the system. He said he can't remember if he scanned them or not when he got to the Post Office. The skeptic in me is wondering if they're all Christmas gifts for his extended family now. The USPS excuse is "COVID," but UPS, FedEx, and Amazon are doing just fine with only small hiccups here and there. USPS should have planned for the holiday rush and done like every other business out there: Pay overtime.
I have always used the USPS for all hockey gear sales. I'm wondering if I should start using UPS instead from now on. Especially for hard-to-find items. One of the things coming to me is extremely rare, so I'm hoping it's not sitting in some alley somewhere, dumped by an overworked and disgruntled USPS employee.
