I have a large 4500 that I really like but I'm not a big fan of the padding. Is there anyway I could take out padding from my old Easton s19 helmet and put it in the 4500, there are some spots in the 4500 that bother me so I wanted to know if there was anyway of doing that.

I don't believe you can even remove the padding from the S19 to start with as they were molded together to be a one piece helmet.
You may call a few hockey repair and customization shops to see if any one can re pad it.

I would just get a new helmet that dosen't have fit issues. I'd be shocked if a shop would even look at doing any sort of repadding for liability reasons.

I'll probably just end up getting a new helmet and I'm not talking about the whole interior padding just removing the s19 soft padding which I believe is glued on and glue em in the 4500.

Yeah I have shaven some padding on the outter side that hits the actual helmet plastic and not my head to make a tight figt feel better. Not sure if any shops would fool around with a helmet for you. I wear a 4000 -0004 nike and my 2 new nikes are abit snug but they havnt seen action. My broken in one fits awesome. If pressure points you have maybe fool around and install some sort of padding to that area without removing any protection.

Well I picked up a ht2 off Grizz and it was really snug for my big head. Hauled out the padding being careful. I took a knife and shaved some padding down on certain areas. Then reglued the padding back in. Presto a fitting helmet I love now! Make the best it is red like Lidstrom's! :headbang:

find a used rbk 6 or 8k, i used the padding on the temples of the 4500 and it feels so much better
