My wife is a Dental Assistant and made me a custom mouthpiece... it really didn't look or feel any different from one of the cheap ones I heated up and fitted myself as a kid. Luckily she got if for free or else I wouldn't have paid for it. As far as looks, it was solid white (you could choose from a few different colors). The dentist said as long as they fit and are worn properly there really isn't a difference between them. A lot of whats out there are gimmicks.

x3 on the Dentist, they can use a single layer or double layer that fits so good you practically don't even know it's there. Breathing and talking is next to perfect as well, definitely the best way to go for coverage too I think.

All this said, I have one and it sits in it's container in my bag. :D

p.s. Hey Eric, soooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lollol!!!

I have one from the dentist as well, and I love it.
I might have to change it soon tho, so I might try one some retail one to see how they feel nowadays.

i recently got samples of this
http://www.signature...hp?productid=21

by that company to review for youtube which they use for their presentations.

The mouthguard won the top protective mouthguard award in Australia, and Europe by the European and Australian Dental Association for high impact sports, like boxing, australian football, its the number one mouthguard in Rugby also!!

If you go through their facebook they're always doing something to cut the price in half or less than half, they even randomly do posts on their facebook page that "first 10 people who can cover the shipping get a new mouthguard" and shipping is 7.50 to the US.

Thats the best mouthguard i've used in the market and theres a reason its voted the best one too.

Feel free to check out my hockey reviews, or random stuff

its ok, they also have youtube. Tell them you saw the review on youtube and what not.

I'm sure your significant other or heck even family have one, have them do it too for you, if not, let me ask Luke and see if i can score you one, can't guarantee, but worth a shot.

You might also know the mouthguard company as Smart Mouth, because their lowest end mouthguard was rebranded and sold as CCM and RBK mouthguards for them on order and the SmartMouth brand

I've got the dentist version with no complaints at all... Has any1 seen or have the under armour custom mouth guards that they make? I believe they run 150$ & up & you have to get them thru your dentist?

I use Protechs. Got a couple for 40$ last year, and they're still going strong. Super breathable, light, don't even notice em.

typically dentist made mouthguards are great but expensive. in the last few years companies have developed methods of having the customer make his own impression and then mailing it to the company to have their custom mouthguard made. one of my buddies is running just such a company:

I never wore a mouthguard before because I like to chew gum but I figured why not try theirs out? it works great and breathing and speaking are no problem at all.
they offer a lot of really cool graphic options too!

always looking for non Reebok L & XL shells......
