my god, these G3 sticks are unreal... always been a vapor guy...but I think im convinced to make the switch

Went to the University of Michigan gear sale yesterday. I never camp out, as most of the campers horde everything. Last year, I got a Reebok 4-roll Sty1 by dumb luck after just lurking around for over an hour at the sale. I saw someone set down a pair of gloves (one was a 14" and the other was a 15"). I'm assuming this is why they set them down. I immediately grabbed them and walked around a bit more. By dumb luck, someone else was walking around with the other mismatched pair and we bumped into each other. He wanted the 15" and I wanted the 14" so it worked out perfect. Back to yesterday, I got into the sale after the whole line of campers got in and scooped up everything good. I saw someone walking around holding my unicorn, another Style 1 14" 4-roll (CCM branded). I asked if he was going to buy them and he wasn't sure. He came back a few mins later and gave them to me. These gloves were also re-palmed and looked brand new. The socks are another story. They had a table of solid colors but these were the outdoor game socks. Saw someone walking around with 2 pair and asked if he wanted both. He said nope and gave me an XL pair (might be too big but they are glorious). They had a ton of used and new pants, which I didn't really need as I have a pair of Reebok U of M MHP520S pants that are still in good shape. I picked up a used pair of CCM branded HP30s and a brand new pair of CCM branded HP30NCs (these have zippers on the leg). Also picked up a player mat for the locker room, a towel, and a hoodie. Compared to other years, the clothing they had this year wasn't the best. Overall, it was the most successful gear sale I've had in the 5 years I've been going. Helps to mingle and talk with others at the sale, had I not, I wouldn't have got some amazing stuff. Thanks for reading my long story, lol.

Crazy Lights? No sir. Literally EVERYTHING they had (probably 10 used pairs and 40 new pairs) were all HP30s. I was surprised there weren't other ones.

Nice haul from the Michigan sale. Do your CCM Gloves say wolverines on them? The gloves that I've seen on eBay that are being sold as Michigan gloves don't say wolverines on the cuff. Just curious...

This year they had the most sticks I've ever seen. Goalie sticks go pretty quick, though goalie equipment is always leftover at the end of the sale. I typically stick around for the whole sale. Just a cool experience and met some nice people. At the end of the sale, there had to be an easy hundred sticks left AT LEAST. In years prior you could get new twigs for $100 but they were $125 this year...might have made people hesitate a bit more.

Yeah, both my CCM and Reebok ones I own have 'Wolverines' embroidered on the side of them. The 11Ks don't.

I don't care what they're worth. Fact of the matter is dude waited in line to buy cheap equipment and NOT use it. THAT'S my issue. Free market, I know. That's a pretty big assumption to think we all believe gear is not worth any money. It is.

I'm also a vinyl record collector. The communities are very similar with flipping items, so this is of no surprise to me. I was just citing a specific pair of gloves marked up $130. That's all.

youre going to be doing a lot of complaining because a lot of the stuff from the Michigan sale ends up on eBay or on here. Not everyone goes there to buy and collect. That stuff is easy to flip for double the price at least.
