UM Bauer 1S and 1X Lite gloves.  Pat put new palms on the 1S gloves.  Might be a record for Pat, he had my gloves for less than 48 hours.

normally I don't like Reebok shells but I made an exception for this one. the branding has been covered over. may have to take it off to reclaim the CCM logo.

Got a pair of custom 2X Pros done. I must say the 3D-scan technology is very precise. However, you should do the scan with the exact socks you plan on wearing. Do not do it barefoot if you do not skate barefoot. I talked to the guy at Bauer and he said people have made this mistake and end up getting stuck with skates that are too small. My right foot is a half size bigger than my left and these skates fit perfect. The turnaround time was fast too, took about 2 weeks. I compared them to the retail ones in the store and the silver is a lot shinier and metallic on the retails. It's more of a matte finish on the customs. Hard to tell in pics but in person you could see the difference. Also the new liners are more "grippy" on the customs. All 2x pros do not come with speed plates anymore, which is funny to me since bauer just launched the 2.0 version not too long ago. Seems like they ditched them quick after all the cracking issues.

That Kucherov curve significantly different than a P28?  hard to tell in my LHS; Kuch and Pasta's blades look pretty much identical to P28's when I looked at the last

Ordered the sticks on 4/26 arrived 6/4. I think ordering 3 in my specs might have made it more than the anticipated 4 weeks since Bauer says depending on construction and quantity the lead time can change.

I compared the curve to my W28 QRE and P28 2NPro and the Kucherov is more like the W28 which has a more gradual curve compared to the P28 that seems to be more abrupt. The difference is really subtle and probably doesn’t even affect all that much. Bauer unofficially says that the Kucherov (and Pastrnak) curve is closer to a Fisher pro than a retail P28.

Those are sick Aaron - how does the volume/arch line up with your foot? I’m considering pulling the trigger on a pair of customs but I worry they won’t get my instep right. I’m basically a vapor heel/forefoot with nexus depth/facing.

I just skated on them for an 1.5 hrs and can say the instep on my 2X Pro is definitely shallower than my 1X 2.0. The 1X 2.0 is a deeper fitting boot. The 3D scan measures every part of your foot including instep height, heel depth, heel width, ankle wrap, and arch height. Best thing to do is get your foot scanned and see what skate family it recommends you. You can always play around and adjust each above feature I mentioned. On both versions of the previous 1X skates, I had the usual pains during the "break in" period. Today I had zero issues with the 2X Pros. Very comfortable. I used speed plates today, so next time I will try the new dynaflex insole they provided and see if theres any differences in performance/fit/comfort.

Been a really long time since I posted but have to say Thanks to Frank (fpm39) for posting the TSR sale I've been looking for a pair of these for a couple years now.
