Heres my haul from the Ducks sale. Picked up some RR CLs and a shell to match. Pics really don't do the color of these gloves justice. The eggplant color is way more vivid in person.

 

Heres how these compare to the older retro gloves the Ducks had a few years ago (excuse the ugly shot blocker removal).
The colors of the eggplant nylon is slightly different on each pair, and the older pair had a jade outline on the CCM branding. The older pair also has white binding.

 

 

Something interesting that I noticed is how the embossed design is inverted on the new pair. Im not completely sure why CCM did this, but my guess would be that it fills out that backhand more and doesn't leave an empty space.

The new ducks mitts look more maroon than eggplant. They should have kept the teal outline on the font.

 

So many failed lazy reverse retro mitts this season. Minnesota, Tampa, Ducks, Canucks, Flames etc. It's a shame because there were tons of nice shells/pants.

I agree with the lazy glove designs (Especially for the Sharks). I would've loved to have had some jade and grey color-blocking on these gloves. Similar to what the ducks had back in the day (vvv). Im still very happy with this pair of CLs despite that.

It might be. But upon looking up some the other reverse retro pairs of CLs, Im not so sure now. The new Kings pair has this as well due to the lack of leather accents on the glove. Im guessing if the pair is missing that feature, CCM will do this?

Not sure it includes the NHL, but in Europe and nation teams CCM has stopped doing the outline in a separate colour.
They claim their logo looks blurry and harder to see.

The Pro teams here had to change to one solid colour and it has raised some rage for Looking too simple, too retail, and teams losing their identity slightly since the Gloves doesn’t look like they are made for the teams.

Not sure, but has bauer ever had an outline like Ccm/Warrior?

Seen some old bauer gloves with the outline, but those are older, MX3 style.

No recent gloves Bauer, but maybe they came to the same conclusion but earlier.
