As things like this tend to go, I was trying to hunt down a pair of CL shoulder pads after I sold my beloved Quicklites for the FT4 Pros. Found a new pair of pro stock QLs and then the very next day I couldn't pass up the deal on a new pair of CLs. We'll see if I stick with the CLs or go back to QLs, but it's nice to have options.

After looking for the last two years, I was finally able to pick up two pairs of new EK65 Warrior AX1's with HG12-like funnel cuff. Like his Coverts from previous seasons, they are a 13" wide. They are a custom build without the stripes and feel similar to a Bauer Nexus. One pair is from the 20/21 season and has the older, rougher tufftek and white/teal thumb badges. The other is from the 21/22 season and has newer, smoother tufftek and black/teal thumb badges. They both have single layer micronash palms with thumb loops detached from the factory. They have flex thumbs with with stretch mesh under the micronash thumbs, so both thumbs have unlimited movement. I am not a fan of cut thumbs, but they are very mobile and flexible so I can see why puck-moving defensemen would like them. I believe he is the only one using these specs, but could be wrong.

Got to wear the CLs for tonight’s game and they definitely breathe better than the FT4 Pros.


There were a bunch of funnel cuff Warriors on PSH the other day, but believe most were Covert models. Found that kind of strange since that model already has a very similar flex cuff. Either way, the Sharks colors are always awesome!

As an M+1 guy from Vancouver this was a big day for me.  I've had a pair of M+1 Canucks pants in the Supreme line but much prefer the Vapor or One95's.  I've been looking for about 5 years now and finally found a pair!  They're awesome and I can't wait to get back on the ice.  I had my 2nd ACL tear surgery 3 months ago and hope to have these in action in Jan 2023!

Same knee? Brutal either way. I tore mine February 2021 (along with medial and lateral meniscus), had surgery in March 2021, and started playing again this March. I can’t imagine doing that rehab again.

Thanks for the well wishes boys!  And thanks Shoeshine Boy for the posting tip..I figured it out lol.  Ya same knee..first one was 2010 with hamstring graft..this time round was cadaver graft (dead guys achilles with some heal bone attached for the bone grafting in the old tunnel from surgery #1).  Wild stuff what the surgeons can do.  Not getting any younger but hoping for the best.  Second time round is definitely more complicated..I don't recommend it!  Be out there wearing these pants soon!
