I use this guy. It's plenty big and I'm still trying to break it in so it's not so stiff.

I think with bags you're going to get what you paid for. If you want it to last a long time and you travel a decent amount, spend a little extra to get something that will withstand some abuse. I use a 4orte Sr. Player Bag and have nothing but great things to say about it. It is rather hard to get your hands on one, though. If I were to get a different bag, I'd probably go with the Eagle Pro Player bag (the Warrior already mentioned would be another I'd consider). A lot of NHL teams use these bags...I figure if they can withstand the abuse of a full NHL season, it can work for me.

Almost forgot JRZ. Here are their special deals. I've never used one of their bags but they are highly thought of on this board:

gerry cosby sports in NY make really nice old school canvas duck bags, they are super thick material, well sewn and they seem to last forever. easy to have them repaired also if any damage occurs. you can order on the phone. i bought one from them about 15 years ago at the store at MSG but now they're somewhere close by. gear got stolen and ordered another to replace it. the actual place where they make the bags is upstate. nice to buy from the shop that makes the product. no wheels, no 'features', but they bag is great and the price is reasonable. the PRO-H bag is the one i'd recommend. the photos on their website do not really do the bag justice, they are a very nice product.

Probably impossible to get just a plain bag from either JRZ or Cosby right?

the plainest bag from cosby's is plain on one side and has their logo on the other. to me it's very plain compared to the 'billboard ads' that most bags look like.

That'd be perfect minus the logo

Looks like a great quality made bag

it's very good quality. for me the logo is fine because it's a small company and i like to support small manufacturing businesses, but that's a personal thing. might be possible to order it without, all you have to do is ask them, there are actual people on the telephone when you call their facility, if you know what i mean. the bag in the photos above is 3 years old so they do hold up very well. it's a shame cosby closed their store at MSG, it was a cool place to visit. no doubt the rent in there got prohibitive. i think MSG was renovated a few years ago, that might have been what forced them to move. at intermission during rangers games that placed was rammed with people.

Well, I've gone threw 6 bags this year. I'll tell you this now, don't go Easton. I had the 2 EQ50 bags and 1 EQPro bag. All of them ripped at the exact same spot in only 1 day. Nothing sharp in my bag, skates had skate guards, no scissors, nothing besides my gear and some clear tape. I had 2 of those Graf Leather bags, they lasted me around 2 months, not bad but common, 2 months? A bag should last you years! PHL seemed tired of seeing my calls complaining about bags ripping in the matter of a day, 2 weeks or a month, so they gave me one of those Warrior Pro Hockey Bags. Best bag I've had, I walk home from school with my bag every 2-4 days and no problem even with a school bag. There are no skate pockets which sucks but besides that, awesome bag. Light, really classic/pro looking and roomy! Considering I got it for free, it was the best bang for my buck I've had hahaha but honestly I'd easily give it a good 8.5/10. Would be a 10/10 if it had skate pockets.
Hockey is medication, even though beer league is probably the destination

Not surprised, Easton and durability generally don't go together well.

I've had Rogue bag from college and its held up fine. No rips, tears, loose stitching or anything like that. Zippers work like they did when school gave me the bag. The bags going on 4 years old and honestly looks no different than it did the day I got it. I'm not sure if you can buy Rogue bags individually or not, but it's definitely worth a Google. Hands down the best bag I have ever owned.
