got hit on outside left foot 4 yrs ago ( still feel it ). bought skate fender pro's. took a few years, to get hit with a real good blast. early this season got hit from close range on inside ankle, right on the ball. hurt & was sore for about 2-3 days, than was fine. i am sure if i did not have them i would have had a brake !. also, had my repair guy put stronger straps on.

Just got some Nash wraps, haven't used them yet but. The straps I feel won't hold up well though

I wore skate fenders for a couple seasons and they worked unbelievably well. Took some absolute blasts off the laces, outside, and inside of my foot and never felt a thing.

How does the plastic look/feel?

The straps are easy to fix. I through some leather straps on my skate fenders. They worked great until I sold them to a coworker. Still going strong.

Has anyone used both the skate fender and nash shot blocker? I have the skate fenders and I feel the ribbed design will deflect impact much better compared to the flat surface on the Nash ones.

If your bag has wheels, you don't.

What size skate is that and what size Nash wrap did you go with?

Those look very similar to the ones I see some of the pros use. Whether it is or not is another thing completely. I'm Interested though. Would love to know how they work out.

My skates are 8.5 and those are a medium, they aren't for that size as the site says but it covers my ankles and front of my skate

What is the deal with molding them? It's says they are moldable. How do you mold them exactly? It doesn't have instructions on the website.

They have a YouTube video, but basically put them in the oven until they are pliable and then wrap them on the skate and hold it there for a couple minutes and done. And let them cool off

I bought a pair of pro stock skate guards from eBay, which appear to be Nash, and love them. They were already used/ pre molded and fit my skates perfectly. Skating feels perfectly natural in them.

I also have a pair of Skate Fenders, and loathe them (the biggest ones, which offer the same coverage as the Nash). Skating feels goofy, and I feel like I notice them there.

I have taken shots off of both pairs, and feel nothing. I do think that the Nash guards are more likely to disintegrate if a hard shot hits them straight on (which I have seen in an NHL game). That being said, I think they will protect, as the guy who was wearing them skated off the ice as if it was nothing, after his skate guard disintegrated into pieces.
