If you remove palms from a glove can they be put in another pair of gloves?

I'm guessing that the problem might be that it would just make them a little tight if they are put into another pair of gloves?

My issue is I have a pair of new gloves/new palms and I don't want the palms - wondering if it's possible to have palms taken out and put in a different pair of gloves?

thanks.

I had asked about this before but never had it done. This was his response:

"When you remove palms for any gloves it's always a crap shoot of how they are going to come off of the gloves that they are already on. You run a decent chance of cutting them while removing them, but it can be done."

He also said that it's easier if the palms are brand new.

Hopefully that helps somewhat!

I have another question - where can I get a repalm done and have them NOT just stitch right into the bindings but rather remove and reapply the binding after the new palms are put in to give the glove the clean look - I've had re palms done before where the new palm was stitched right into the binding and I prefer not to have the palm edge visible - make sense?

I'm guessing it would have to be someone with some type of re binding machine - does anyone know who might do something like that?

I did a double switch on 2 pairs of Eagles. I has George's swap the palms for me. they did an outstanding job.

did they re apply the bindings? did they salvage the original palms so that you could use them again?

basically it went like this: I found this pair of gloves on Ebay:

the palms were a bit crusty and stiff though so I found another pair of plain red/white/blue Eagles with the same palm and sent both to George's and had them simply switch one set of palms for the other so that I could sell the plain pair on Ebay so I would think that they re-applied the bindings but I'm not sure.

that is the finished pic, btw.

I can't quite tell but I think it looks like they replaced the binding over the palm edge....so George's is pretty good? Where are they located?

George's is in Minnesota but they have a pretty good website too: http://www.hockeyrepair.com/

I've thrown all kinds of stuff at them (including re-lining skates and tendon guard repair) and they've never disappointed.

Does anyone know off hand what variety of palms Georges carries?
